Blackwater Agritourism Opposition Meeting 11.12.2018
- Meeting was at the: City Pointe Church (Old Plant City First Baptist Church) downtown Plant City, 503 N. Palmer Street, Plant City, FL 33563
- per Mr. PJ Varn (verbal) and Mr. James Varn (text), the family wasn't invited and were NOT allowed to attend
- Next meeting December 17,2018
- Hearing Master - To speak at the commission meeting ones have to speak at the Hearing Master Meeting
- Quote, "Postpone 3 Times" ... "It didn't happen by chance" ... "Postpone these meeting enough times people give up" ... "I wouldn't be surprise if this doesn't into January of next year".
- Zoning Master:
- Planning stages
- Collects everything in favor and against
- Will make a recommendation to the County Commissioners.
- Need of extension of time, someone relinquish their time to the speaker (Same at the Commission Meeting - if someone needs extend time and the individual spoke a the Zoning Master Hearing can relinquish their time to the speaker.)
- Very important to get as many to speak at the Zoning Master's hearing just in case a speaker needs addition time.
- Letting the Zoning Master know will you have an open door policy where your neighbors or anyone with concern can come to personally or via other means of communication without fear of retaliation whereby you will do your best for the parties to reach a closure.
- Credential speakers
- Property against the Varn's PD - Sound/Light barrier: Erecting a sand hill and plant foliage in front to absorb these issues of concern
- Contract with parties coming on the property will comply with Rules and Regulations which may exceed concerns raised at these hearing and before the Zoning Master and then the Commission.

- Consultant with Knowledge of Florida's Laws to Protect Your Interests and showing this venture being Proactive in keeping the neighbors happy.
- Building Contractor which may be use or consulted with in this venture
- Depending on the size of the drones consult with consultant regarding FAA Rules and Regulations and/or in short consultant with a consultant you may consider this for any activity on the property
11.13.2018 - Went to a Graimes/Keeme Family Community meeting last night regarding Opposition against the Varn Family, Blackwater Agritourism (Varn Ranch) proposed Planned Development.
The Varn Family wants to use part of their land for Agritourism.
The highlight of last nights meeting is how the Varn's Planned Development is taking away the communities, "Quality of Life".
I get up this morning and what is in my face?... PESTICIDE DRIFT, "PALADIN".
Pesticide Drift in the State of Florida is iLLEGAL according to The 2015 Florida Statutes, Title XXXII, Regulation of Professions and Occupations, Chapter 487, Pesticide Regulation and Safety, Part i, Florida Pesticide Law (ss. 487.01-487.175 and Part II, Florida Agricultural Woker Safety Act (ss. 487.2011-487-2071), 487.011, 487.012, 487.031 (e), 487.041 2), 487.046 (2), 487.071 (4) (5), 487.101, 487.159 (1) (2) (which can be review at: (http://www.floridapesticides.com/florida-constitution-and-florida-laws-regarding-pesticides.html) The SMELL of PALADIN, Telone c-35, and other Restricted Use Pesticides use around the county off these agricultural fields, nurseries, golf courses, home lawns, tenting for termites, etc.
The phrase "QUALITY OF LIFE" brought up to use against the Varn's endeavours.
WHAT ABOUT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE???
WHAT ABOUT OUR THE COMMUNITY AS WHOLE, QUALITY OF LIFE???
I have listened to both sides and I was fighting with myself to get involved from the stand point how does this effect my family positively and negatively. Sometimes it is good to sleep on stuff. I got up this morning, smelled the Pesticide Drift, got to thinking about all those agricultural fields around the Varn Planned Development and my decision was made.
How does the Varn Planned development effect my family and the community? Positive vs Negative.
To think trying to reach out to these farmers I have been intimated, received a letter from an attorney to "Govern Myself Accordingly", threatened, harassed by Sheriffs, one of them endangered the life on my daughter and NOT one will bend an ear to listen to me or the community.
Yet I have blown up JP Varn's phone, text, and email and nothing but a true gentleman.
Getting up this morning set my decision in solid concrete to SUPPORT Blackwater Agritourism (Varn Ranch) proposed Planned Development.
The Theme for my support is "QUALITY OF LIFE"...
WHAT ABOUT as a "WHOLE" ___OUR___ QUALITY OF LIFE?
What about taking away someone's dream?
What about inspiring someone's dream ?
What is worse... poisoning the soil, air, water, animals, people, FOOD "GLOBALLY"...
vs
FUN, TOGETHERNESS, COMMUNITY... All this and MORE while preserving and protecting the environment, nature's inhabitants, water, and a community. A family using a partial of "THEIR" land to involve community?... "SHARING" if you will.
Frankly, Plant City is BORING. Ones have to go outside of Plant City. Travel distances when it will be right here! Why not inspire "DREAM", community involvement with fun, education, love of nature, get away from electronics, go back to good'ole family gathering, meeting neighbors, socializing and so much more?
How much do we hear, "It takes a tribe to raise a family?" Instead of tearing down dreams how about we promote and HELP Maniftest the tribe mentality! Promote meeting thy neighbor! Promote the old ways of life! Promote EDUCATION! Promote FUN! Promote GATHERING TOGETHER!
Everyone, just not the chosen are Protected by the CONSTITUTION. Remember this document? When was the last time you looked at it, read it? How much blood was lost over FREEDOM?... and yet we want to take it away by telling someone what they can and can't do with "THEIR" land?

- Negative: I can only think in terms of traffic. MORE Traffic. From I-4, Thonosassa West/North to Cork Road North, takes the traffic right into the Planned Development. Thinking, "How does this effect me negativly?"... Should their be an accident on Thonosassa Road at Cork Road on Thonosassa Road the traffic might be diverted down Joe Sanchez Road. These two issues would be a negative.
- Positives: Community Involvement, Bringing the Community TOGETHER, Meeting the community, Meeting Neighbors, Something to in Plant City and NOT have to travel somewhere else. Talking with the Mr JP Varn has been nothing but a shear delight! Gentleman through and through

- WHAT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF LIFE of those that live around agricultural fields?
- WHAT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF LIFE WHERE THIS FOOD IS HARVESTED, AND SHIPPED WHERE?... "GLOBALLY?"
- What is happening to ___OUR___, "QUALITY OF LIFE" especially those here first as I speak for my family?...
- WHAT ABOUT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE: Loosing our hair, Loosing our voice, Soar throats, Eye sight going bad, Loosing our teeth, Head aches, Body aches, Lethargic, Can't sleep, Can't eat, Throwing up, Messing with our bowel movements, Fevers, Constant Flu Like Symptoms and Our Animals Sick both pets and chickens.
- What about the, "QUALITY OF LIFE" to those Neighbor's properties that butt up against agriculture fields coming down with rare forms of cancers, breast cancer, heart issues, brain issues, blood issues, and so much more.
- What about the health, "QUALITY OF LIFE" to those first in the fields?
- What about the "QUALITY OF LIFE" to the "COMMUNITY" when I go downtown or shopping and the smell of "Pesticide Drift" in the air?

- Acts of Terrorism - Concerns because of all the agricultural fields surrounding the Varn property and what I have uncovered in my research, I am concerned with the following:
- Those living around agricultural fields has shared when they spoke out in opposition of the agricultural farmer using Restricted Use Pesticides the smell of excess Pesticide Drift comes over on their property.
- Because of agricultural retaliation in my opinion this is a great concern for Chemical threats and chemical warfare whereby in my opinion this is an act of Terrorism, an act of war, and may bring concerns of the Geneva Convention.
- By NOT allowing the Varn's to attend Opposition of meetings held in 501c3 building or any government building would this constitute "ACTS of Terrorism"?... A new word for an old action called a lynch mob?... whereby the entities 501c3 should be revoked to day of Charter and taxes applied according.
